Galaxy Dance Festival

The 2012 Galaxy Dance Festival is taking place August 10th and 11th at Portland’s Director Park. We are currently seeking dance artists within the community- choreographers, teachers and companies – to join us. Our goal is to educate the public about the incredibly diverse world of dance in Portland through two days of free performances, demonstrations and classes. Last year over 2,400 people attended the festival!
Here is an excellent opportunity to bring your company to the awareness of new and diverse audiences. To attract even greater attention to the event this year we are partnering with Portland Parks & Recreation to include the festival in their Summer Free For All Program.
We hope that you will consider enriching the festival with your participation this year. There are many ways to participate: performance, leading a public class, presenting a demonstration of some aspect of your work. Every participant will also have access to a table for displaying marketing materials promoting upcoming events. Some participants may opt for a table display only.It’s entirely up to you to how you’d like to get involved.
